Richard H. Fowler is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas - Pan American and Director of Graduate Programs in computer science. He received a Ph. D. in Psychology from the University of Houston in 1980 and a M. S. in Computer Science from New Mexico State University in 1989. His research interests center on information visualization for document retrieval and interactive systems generally. Other projects are concerned with information management and the uses of visualization across disciplines.
