Tentative Itinerary

Thursday, October 12, 2006

8:00 a.m.                     Arrive at UTPA campus         

8:00 – 9:00 a.m.          Meeting with Velinda Reyes, Ricardo Ramirez and Ronnie Garcia

9:00 -10:30 a.m.        Open Presentation with Q&A

                                    Engineering Bldg. Auditorium

                      (Information session – Open Discussion as students stop by – flexible schedule)

                        Attendees: College of Science and Engineering and College of Business                                        students

10:30 – 12:00            Information Booths

                        Several folding (6ft) tables will be provided - setup will be in the Engineering                                    lobby.  (example: Extreme Blue, recruitment, human resources and other                           technology demonstrations)

12:00 -1:00 p.m.        Lunch – (Student Organization Officers & Faculty, Staff)

                                 Lunch will be held in the 3^rd Floor (Room: 3.249, Engineering Bldg.)                                               Sodexho will be catering the lunch.

1:00 -  4:00 p.m.        Class Presentations

                                    1) Making the most of Eclipse

                                    (2) Open Source Development: Tools and Open Standards

                                    (3) Information Demand: Unleash the Power of DB2 9

There are three hours from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm. Three talks can evenly use this 3 hour span,

each with 50 minutes for presentation plus 10 minutes for questions and break.  Possibility of having two Business and three engineering classes for presentation, this is still tentative.
